President Jonathan weeps at Brothers Burial

It was a sad moment for President Goodluck Jonathan who broke down in tears as his half brother Meni was lowered to the grave Yesterday. The President had earlier betrayed emotions at the Dame Patience Jonathan Square Otuoke where a Service of Songs was held in honour of Meni as part of rites of passage.

Report says Jonathan wept openly even as he managed to wipe tears off his eyes severally. Meni died in Abuja on 20th November at the National Hospital Abuja. He was flown into from Bayelsa the night before. His body was deposited at the State House clinic mortuary when he was confirmed dead.
Many prominent Nigerians both in public and public life were in Otuoke to give the President moral support and condole his family for the loss. Visible among the visitors was Senate President David Mark and many state governors, ministers and most of the President’s aides. President Jonathan is expected back in Abuja on Monday.
