OBAMA RETURNS AS PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Barack Obama

America’s president, Barack Obama will be returning for a second term in the White House, "Yipppieee" all over twitter Nigerians have shown great support for Obama, and some Nigerian comedians trust them, also made some jokes about the elections but finally it all came to an end today... with OBAMA Returning as The President of the United states...
His Opponent, Romney, conceded shortly after midnight, delivering a brief speech to a subdued crowd of supporters at his Boston headquarters where he said he would “pray that the president will be successful in guiding our nation.” I will say Amen to that.
The former Massachusetts governor urged Washington’s politicians to set aside the “bickering” and “political posturing” going forward, and “put the people before the politics.” He continues: “This election is over, but our principles endure,” Romney said.
The president’s projected victory came shortly after he was declared the winner in the crucial battleground of Ohio. The president was leading by a narrow margin in that state as returns continued to stream in overnight, but a streak of victories in other battlegrounds put him well over the 270 electoral votes required to win. The count, with the results from Florida and Alaska still not in, stood at 303 electoral votes for Obama, to Romney’s 203.
Below is a little break down of the Votes.. and excerpts from his speech.

Although this was not a Nigerian Election, I feel it affects the whole world. read some Excerpts from President-elect Barack Obama's acceptance speech:
Tonight, more than 200 years after a former colony won the right to determine its own destiny, the task of perfecting our union moves forward.

It moves forward because of you. It moves forward because you reaffirmed the spirit that has triumphed over war and depression, the spirit that has lifted this country from the depths of despair to the great heights of hope, the belief that while each of us will pursue our own individual dreams, we are one American family, and we will rise and fall as one nation.

Tonight, in this election, you, the American people, reminded us that while our road has been hard, while our journey has been long, we have picked ourselves up, we have fought our way back and we know in our hearts that for the United States of America, the best is yet to come.

I want to thank every American who participated in this election. whether you voted for the very first time, or waited in line for a very long time - by the way, we have to fix that - whether you pounded the pavement or picked up the phone, whether you held an Obama sign or a Romney sign. You made your voice heard, and you made a difference.
